Previous Appointments and Experiance
This section is intended to offer a little more detail around the specifics of the posts I have previously held. I have kept this as succinct as possible, but it will hopefully offer some insight in to some of my areas of expertise.
Companies House Lead Product Manager
I was appointed to lead the development of the product profession, helping the team to become high performing. As this was a new concept to the organisation I need to draw on my strong communication and influencing skills. I achieved buy from people and established myself as a key stakeholder across multiple professions. Using plain English to communicate complex strategy and building big picture perspectives allows me to demonstrate achieving success through product lead ways of working..
Alongside this I am an established service assessor and strong champion of the Government Digital Standard. Coaching teams in the adoption of this, I have improved efficiency and aligned approaches across other areas of government. I am also responsible for managing the resourcing of the team and allocation of product resource to deliveries. Working across functions with heads of professions I coordinate the corporate delivery plan and raise recommendations for new resource through digital partnering.
NHS Wales Informatics Service Product Manager
I joined the organisation to initially develop a new service area that was in its infancy. This was a key area of the organisation as it provided the means to transfer information between systems across the country. This was achieved using a variety of technologies and aligned itself to a national health messaging standard.
Alongside this I am a strong champion of the agile method of delivery, and developed the team to adopt this, using iterative planning and development periods, daily stand ups and critical reviews. As head of the service I was also responsible for forward planning new project requests and acting as subject matter expert to the wider organisation.Working with key stakeholders across the business I am adept at translating broad requirements into user stories and specifications.

EADS Business Intelligence Analyst
Initally appointed to become a subject matter expert in a specific software product, I quickly developed this into a full blown business intelligence solution. This was adopted by the company as the preffered reporting solution for delivery of their projects.
Utilsing the business objects suite of applications, I was able to develop a data wharehouse, and in turn provide a full end to end reporting solution. This provided a reporting mechanism to all levels of staff across the organisation.
May 2008 - June 2011
Imtech Process Information Systems Engineer
On acceptiong this position the IT section of the orgainsation, was still in its infancy and becoming established. However I was appointed to assist in the development of a new software solution that was intended to replace a current paper based process. This was adopted as a software project and I utilised my internet technology skills (ASP & HTML) to develop the solution.
Due to the nature of the role, the main emphasis was to be around change management, rather than software development. Through a series of workshops and "one on one" meetings, I was able to persuade the end users of the system (well established engineers), that the benefits far outweighed the losses. On completion the system was accepted and is now established as a fully approved enhancement to the "software toolbox".
